| Transfear have been making waves in their hometown of Brisbane, Australia. Their first demo "Sore" sold well, and now they bring us "Killer Species", another demo CD. They've fine tuned their style to supply four heavy-hitting cuts. Fans of old Machine Head and Entombed take note, Transfear have released a 4-song demo filled with groove-laden death n roll. Deep downtuned guitars jam out rockin rhythm riffs. The vocals are deep and burly. The drum work is basic, yet commanding. As a matter of fact, no instrument really goes over the top as far as technicality is concerned, but they do kick out some powerful and crunchy music. The production could be a bit louder, but everything is mixed well, and afterall, this is only a demo. If you like death metal with the influence of toughguy hardcore, Transfear is a band to check out. |
