Fallout - "So Heavy, It's Metal"
n/a (2001)
Fallout
Genre: Deathcore
Similar bands: Bloodrust

Review:
Have you ever been listening to Cannibal Corpse and wishing they were singing tough guy anthems akin to bands like Fury of Five? If so, Fallout might be the band you're looking for. Hailing from upstate PA, Fallout cross the brutality of death metal with the hard-hitting, street-wise, and sometimes overly cheesy lyrics of hardcore. Imagine crossing Obituary or earlier Death with Mushmouth and you're headed in the right direction. It's refreshing to hear two of my favorite genres combined well. I haven't been this happy about a crossover band since New Jersey's Bloodrust brought metal and hardcore together so many years ago.

Fallout definitely are onto something. Their name could use some improvement (when I hear it, I think a political pop punk band like Propaghandi) and maybe get rid of some of the ridiculous lyrics like "to all the motherfuckers that tried to bring us down: where are you right now?". Other than that, as long as they continue to keep it brutal, keep it simple and keep it real, they'll be set.

Grade:
61/100

metal - I think this review is a little wack. You seem to like it, but give it a 60. Your opinion is your opinion I guess. Who cares anyway? When bands actually start listen to someone who "reviews" music we're all in trouble.
god - fallout doesn't even resemble tough guy, and the music is far from simple. word.
