Your older demos and such were more straightforward hardcore than "Until the Ink Runs Out". What brought about the change?

Well, music is just bound to progress, or at least you would hope so. Keith had a huge part in everything. Before it was mainly Brandan and Ken writing all of the guitarwork. When we added a second guitarist it just helped us out alot. Keith had a lot of new ideas and the progression that we had made as a four-piece into more mature musicians has a lot to do with it as well. Basically, what we did was just intensified everything. All of the different aspects of the band just had matured a lot more and we really grew together as musicians. You'll see a lot of the same work on our newer material. We've added a few new elements and I think they should work out pretty well, but the metal is still there along with the really heavy parts. We are playing what we want to play and what we like. We are just working more on our rock parts and the melodic stuff to broaden our musical horizon.

How is the scene in CA? Where are some other places you've played that you feel have good scenes?

I like it here a lot. For the most part, it's pretty posi out here which is cool. For the most part everyone gets along. There are a lot of cool bands here as well. It just seems like there are too many bands and never enough shows. As far as other scenes we have played as far as the kids go I don't know many people from every city, but places that have always been good for us are Chicago, Pheonix, Santa Cruz, Salt Lake City, and South Florida was cool. Everywhere we've gone all the kids have been cool to us.

Any tours planned, especially any making your way to the East Coast (I live in Philadelphia and I'm dying for you to play...I'm not sure if I missed you guys once or not)

Yeah, I'm not sure what our touring plans for the summer are yet, but you can bet your bottom dollar that if you see us...you will get a show.

Trustkill treats us real nice. He buys us toys. Life Sentence did not buy us toys.

Technically, I do, but I like Ken's a lot too. I pretty much do everyones hair, but I need to make sure I have one up on all of them.

I don't know. I like stone temple pilots. The singer is sexy.

What's next for Eighteen Visions? New album, more touring, etc.?

We are re-recording some stuff for a new record. Our "Best of" record. That should be out by Summer. Then we want to tour this summer. Where? We don't know. We also have a lot of new shit for a new record.
